what is RD ? What is ND? What is AD? Can somebody please explain?
I mailed my I485 on OCT 19/01 . My 485 has been filed and the date on it is 12/1/01.
Can anyone please clarify these dates? I am so confused.

The difference is

RD - The date the mail room at INS Service Center received ur application.

ND - The date the Data Entry operator entered your info into the computer database. The AVM will tell u that the appln was received on this data i.e ND so dont get confused.

AD- I think it is the approval date.

From my experience I think all the dates shown in the processing times is based on the RD and not ND. But there is always a debate going on about this.

www.murthy.com has good info on RD and ND. I am not sure about the exact link.
