What is Piority date retrogression

I was reding an article about "priority date retrogression" and could not understand clearly. How to find out if this rule effects me or not ?.

My Original LC was applied on April'2001 and got approved on the same year.

Changed the employer and used subtitute labor and applied 140 and 485 together.(Concurrent filing).
Also used 245(i) and paid $1000 penality for spouse 485. Now she got her 2nd EAD also.(Lawyer told me he attached a copy of my original LC for using 245(I) for my wife)

My confusion is if my lawyer used subtitute labor for my 140 and 485 and used my original LC for using 245(I) for my wife which LC Priority date to be considered ? Right now i don't know the subtituted LC PD.Senet a mail to my lawyer.
