What is next after I-140?

We are all anxiously waiting for I-140, and all thrilled when realize yours got approved. But reality is the journey post I-140 is still long, very long..... BCIS is reviewing I-485 strictly based on date regardless whether you file seperate or concurent. For those whose I140 is pending since early and middle 02, the good news is your next waiting period can be much shorter. For those lucky one with I140 approved, the good news is you may use AC21, if have to. Either way you have to be patience, since it is long, long way to go.

It all depends on the luck...

It took 3 years to get my labor cleared from CT state, going to take 1+ years for 140...... Who can predict about the 485 process time ... it might take another 3 years if there is a RFE or some new registration/special processes takes away the resources......

You can change your job

You have the option of changing the job. And if laid off you are sort of safe (at least safer).
