what is ND

Hey guys, what exactly is ND (notification date). I have seen that word mentioned a lot of times here. Is it the notice that you receive from INS that says they have received my I-485 application. Could someone please elaborate ? After my I-485 filing(10/2000) all I have received from INS was a notice that says they have received my application. I have received EAD in 2/2001.

Leo...you are right..it\'s the notice date. That\'s the date that INS sends out a notice to you saying that they have recvd your application.
