Somebody else asked a similar question on this portal some time ago, but I don't see satisfying answers. So here I'm asking it again: after the NIW I-140 has been approved, what they may ask in RFE for the 485 stage?
I know for employer-sponsored cases, people get RFEs for EVL, W-2 and tax return info, but NIW does not require a job offer although many NIW-based 485 applicants, like me, do have one. I searched this board and it seems that for such cases, besides of personal documents, they usually just asked for documents to prove the applicant is still working in the field approved for NIW, not w-2, pay stub, etc. Is this true? Please share your knowledge and experience. Thanks.
