I have received RFE for my I-485 form NSC, They are asking "If applicable , include a copy of all petition/application approval notices (Form I-797) issued to you by this service center granting extensions or change of nonimmigrant status:
My question is that what is Form I-797, if it is a approval notice of H1 then does it say some where on the approval not that this is form I-797, I checked and it only says Form I-129. Do we also get approval notice for EAD and Ap....pls advice. Thanks a lot

I-797 is a acknowledgement form which comes back to you whenever u apply for any thing like ead/ap/h1/485 etcetc... even ur approval notices are 797 also. these forms are called "Notice of Action"

In my case since they are asking all petition/application approval notices so should I only send all h1 approval notice not the recepit notice. and one more thing do we get any approval notice for EAD and AP. Thanks.

You get approval notice for all application you send if approved.
if they are asking only approval notices then send only approval 797s. talk to your lawyer he/she'll give you better response. and if you don't have ead/ap approval 797, your lawyer will.

I applied EAD and AP by my self not thru lawer, I know for AP you get recepit notice and then if approved you get 3 copies of AP, you donot get any 797 approval notice and I think same thing with EAD at the end you get EAD card in the mail nothing else. am I right???

i don't have those papers with me i applied EAD/AP on my own too. for EAD the papers u get has one of them 797. i'm not sure let me check today & will msg 2morrow
