What is going on with my case?

I'm a dependant on my father's I-485 application. I got intent to deny beginning of last year for my I-485 because I fell out of status and never reinstated my F1 visa. We sent the paperwork that the school's international student office submitted my application but it never got completed and got send back.

Then on the 12/13/05, my case was denied because the paperwork I submitted wasn't satisfactory. My lawyer then sent an application for motion to reopen with the $1000 fee which reopened my case on the 2/2/06.

There has been DAILY LUD changes on my I-485 case from 2/24/06 to 3/1/06. They cashed the check for motion to reopen application on 3/2/06. Since then...nothing. I've already been through the name check since last year.

Does anyone know what is possibly going on with my case? Everyone except me in my family has had their I-485 approved and have their GCs in hand.

My case was also denied about a year ago. My lawyer filed MTR. This was a long process (in my case). Because my case was in a local office I couldn't do anything about it (inquiery, call etc.) After three months passed, I went to talk to an officer at the local office. Only after that they send me a letter a week later saying they reopened my case.

If I were you I would wait a few weeks and start checking and inquirying on my case. It seems that they don't do anything until you upset their comfort.

If your lawyer prepared a solid case, they should reopen the case.

In my case, it was because of their mistake it got denied.

Yeah my case, they reopened on the 2nd of February.

There was another LUD change on 3/11/06 on my I-485 application.

So I called Vermont Service Center yesterday and they told me that the officers reviewed my case and had the clerks type up a request for evidence letter. Unfortunately, the letter never got sent out and they are working on sending it out. Also, the person told me that my fingerprints are going to expire next month and I may have to go in again to get fingerprinted.

Could it be that the RFE notice that they are going to send out could be a fingerprint notice? He said he can't tell me because he doesn't know and that they are not allowed to tell me anyways.
