Can any one help me here, I am trying to understand
how INS is working... here is the story..
RD JUL 2000
ND AUG 2000
FP FEB 2001
(Both for me and Spouse).
RFE in OCT (B.C)
Replied in NOV 2001 (for both)
My case :the Message got updated, spouse\'s
was not updated...
Checked in January, send a memo about the cases,
My 485 got approved immediately after in JAN.
We were waiting for my spouse\'s case,
and then we get another FP notice for her...
What is going on... we are really confused...

I think INS thinks your wife\'s FP has expired.

I think your wife\'s FP expired. I think the FP is valid for 15 months, so if you had it in Feb 00, it should still have been valid till May. But in any case, the good news is your wife\'s file is active and not lost in the dust.

My case is similar to yours and if you could share some information, I will greatly appreciate it.

I had received an RFE in 12/00 and the response was received by INS in 01/0902. It has been almost 3 months and no news, yet others with RFE have got approved in as little as 5 days.

You mentioned that you had sent a memo to INS. Can you pls. elaborate on it.

- What did you say in the memo.
- Did you send it to the regular INS address
- how long after that your case was approved.
- Did you send it or did you have a senator/congressman have it sent.
- And did you also call and talk to an IIO.
- Any idea why your case was delayed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, as I am lost as to what is happened to my case.
