guys i m wondering what is FBI name check,i have checked in few posts,some people said that they got struck in FBI name check.i recently had the interview few days ago i got approved.will i have the FBI name check.

I think it's a background check with NCIC, state federal and local courts as well as other agencies including credit reporting agencies and lexus-nexis. I've been told you can do an FBI name check on yourself for a fee which is something I plan to do. I think USCIS does the same check themselves but obviously they don't trust the applicant to submit "a copy" of their FBI name check lol.

Their normal procedure is to complete the FBI name check before the interview is scheduled, although a small percentage of applicants still get interviewed without the name check being completed.
However, they definitely would not have recommended you for approval if the FBI name check was still pending. So you can be confident that you don't have to worry about the name check at this stage; you just have to wait for them to complete the formalities to schedule you for an oath ceremony and send the oath letter.
