FBI Name Check: FBI Checks the Name against a list of Flagged Names to potentially identify people with know criminal intent or records.
You dont have to do anything, a request is submitted to FBI by USCIS to do the name check.
But I had seen some threads that people are anxious to know that what is there status for FBI name check. I just want to know How it is helpful in 485 processing to know the status for name check?

Unfortunately this is an "excuse" used by BCIS for not approving guys with ND as far back as 2002. So the affected people are worried about this. What is ur ND? if its recent (like in 2003/2004) you not need to worry (at least for now )
