My FP is done on 02/12 and AVM says "FP results received, process resumed"!

Does this mean BACKGROUND check is done? If yes, I am very surprised
the efficiency of agents\' work :)

Yes it is done! Read on -

The following is the process of a 485 application :

· Application received with fee at INS
· Eligibility checked by application clerk – If rejected sent back to applicant; If accepted then data entered into computer.
· Fees deposited and receipt issued
· If EAD applied then adjudicated and issued within 90 days.
· Name checked by CIA
· FP appointment scheduled
· Criminal background checked by FBI
· Processing resumed
· Adjudicator takes up the case – If not approvable – denial notice is sent after supervisory review. If approvable then may approve/issue RFE/transfer to local INS for interview.
· If approved – notice sent to applicant.
· GC issued
· Case closed out in computer
· File sent to National Records Center for storage

Mine was electronic, got cleared, AVM updated within 72 hours

with "FP collected and processing resumed ...."

If manual FP then as per many board posting about 6-8 weeks .. could be longer also in some cases. I have read on this board that most of those who did computer FP got cleared within a week.

Electronic

I think that I also did electronic FP.... I pressed all my fingers in a machine similar to scanner and it was also displayed instantaneously on the monitor.... Is it what you refer as electronic?
Thanks.
