what is Dependents' status when I am on OPT?????

what is the status of the dependant on F2 visa when my F1 expires but we have a valid OPT. f2 also expired same day as f1. Is the dependant out of status????????
 
AS my understanding, when you are in OPT, you are still F1 status. As long as you have valid F1, your spouse's F2 is valid too.
