What is class of admission?

I was granted asylum in december 04 and I'm trying to apply for a travel document but on the application they ask for Class Of Admission.I'd like to know what it means.Thank You

It is asking you what your status was when you entered the US. It could be visitor, student, etc..

If you have been granted Asylum (as the principal applicant), you should put AS6 or 'Asylee' as the class of admission.
