What is biometrics??

I have been through finger printing and namechack process in my local USCIS office 1.5 yrs back. Is it same as biometric?


Do I need to take it again as I am filing EAD renewal now?

if you use the "search" function, you can find out more details on what biometrics is. what you had done (fingerprinting / name check) is the same as "biometrics."

when applying for your renewal EAD, your receipt notice will tell you to make an appointment to get your fingerprints done again. my husband renewed his a while ago - and it was different from the first time he did it because the "code" on his receipt notice was a "2" - which meant he could go to an application support center (much shorter line than his first time, when he'd had a code 1 on his receipt notice). also - this time, they only took his index finger prints and his photo.

With EAD renewal form did you also submit the biometric fee? I don't know if I am supposed to take this thing again.
