What is ADIT processing

All,
I got the welcoming new permanent resident email today and one of the terms mentioned was ADIT processing. I have copied an extract of the email below.

"Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later."

Any idea what ADIT processing is ??

ADIT processing refers to your biometrics.

The text in the welcome notice is standard, so they always seem to mention the "60 days... or after you complete any ADIT" part.

If you provided your biometrics recently, they already have it and will start production of your card.

It's a data collection form. ADIT : Alien Documentation, Identification, & Telecommunications System.

Record of personal and biographical information such as name, date of birth, picture and fingerprint coordinates, height, mother's first name, father's first name, city/town/village of birth.
