Today morning, I called TSC to find the status of my I-485 pending case. The lady says, it is in security check? What does it mean? but the other day, when I called TSC one guy says, I think you should get it by now..... because both of your files were sent on the same day for security checks...etc.....and I don't see any remarks on your file....please ask your attorney to file a complaint......

We filed our I-485 concurrently.....he got his GC in June...mine is still pening? I don't know what to do now? It is very confusing? How long does it take for security clearance?

PD June 2002
EB2 India (filed in CSC and then transferred to TSC)

My last LUD was on 9/7/2006 ,9/13/2006....after that.....no change........

Anybody, in the similar situation...please share your experiences......

Thanks

Security name check is the investigation we all have to go through at USCIS. In most cases starts at finger printing. The FBI needs to make sure you are a "safe" applicant.
(don't know how to put it differentlly)
Everybody at this forum calls it the Name check. Many cases suffer long long delays because of this, others pass it like breeze. I think you need to make a status inquiry soon to see what's going on. Customer reps say different things and not always are correct. Do you have an attorney?

security check = fingerprint + name check

As for the name check, here's CIS's relatively recent (a half year ago) press release about the security check process -- gives you a clear idea about what it is about.

When did you file the I-485 exactly? At least they seem to be working on your file (though last a month and half ago), but I too think you better send a status inquiry via your attorney.
