245I is an option if you was out of status in this country for more than 6 months after your visa expires (don't quote me on the time frame) you pay a $1000 fine per person to stay in the country while you adjust your status but you have to have had something on file with the INS before the cut off date of April 2001 in order to qualify. thats the impression I got. if you were out of status less than the 6 months I think you are eligible for 245K something totally different and I know nothing about that.
