What if we send the documents to KCC after September?

Hello,

I am a DV-2011 winner, and I haven't sent the documents to KCC yet. My case number is EU20xxx. If I send my documents to KCC in October or November 2010, will I get an interview date for consular processing (Ankara,Turkey)? Or, is that a too late date to send the documents? Any experiences like this?

Thank you in advance.
Mike

PS. I need to send the documents late, because I need to get a j1 waiver first which is still pending at DOS.

I advise you send the forms with your two American size pictures as soon as possible. Your case gets delayed, should you submit forms late, which could jeopardize your chances.
Sending the forms to Kcc will nöt affect your J1 waiver, it's a different visa category. You need to present genuine documents and you'll be fine. Peace! Benniit.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it's a different visa category but the waiver process goes through DOS (who organized the DV lottery) and USCIS (who gives the green card), so i think they will see my green card application to KCC and it might effect their waiver decision. At least, a lawyer told me so. That's why i'm waiting. Otherwise i also would like to send the documents asap...

Are you changing your J1 waiver status to GC? If so, then I think you can wait since it'll be thru by September, just that your dv case will delay. And what if u get your GC thru waiver, will u pursue the lottery? But if you're not changing the J1 to GC then bro, 4get abt it and concentrate on the lottery. Peace! Benniit.

i'm not changing my status to GC. to be able to get my green card i need a waiver of my visa requirement, that is 2-year home country residency.i need to have my waiver at the time of the interview. i'm doing CP. i also want to concentrate on the lottery, but it's not that easy. remember the 40th question of DS-230 form. it is vital for me, i cannot selece NO right now. if choose YES my GC application will be denied!
