I am currently on vacation in the US, my I94 (i already did one extension)
will expire on march 29, if I get a NL while here in the States which is
better:

- request a second extension and do AOS.

- return to my country and do the CP.

return to your country and do CP. The earliest day on which your case could be addressed is 1st of October. IF you win, you will get a case number assigned. And this number determines whether you have your interview as early as October 2008 or as late as September 2009.
In addition: Only 100'000 people get the notification letter, but close to 10million take part in the lottery.... so count your chances.
