Hello Everyone,

I have posted this also in the citizenship forum (thought it shoud be here instead........I am still questioning this issue.......since my I-130 was transfered to CSC and it is about 6mths since the transfer we are assuming that hopefully we should be receiving the approval in the mail pretty soon......but since my husband hasnt received his oath letter as yet (almost 2mths since interview in - Dallas Tx)....what if the approvals for the I-130 gets approved first what happens to me.......will I have to go to my home country or can we change my status here?? Thanks for any responses!!!

I-130 should be approved AND PD should be current. Once that happens, you can file your I-485.

Once your husband becomes a USC, he can call and update the I-130 and PD would become current for the spouse of a USC. You can then file the I-485 right away.
