What if my B2 doesn't get extended??

What happens if my B2 visa doesn't get extended by INS? Is it a law that I will not be allowed in the USA again? I'd like to come again in a few months to visit my boyfriend (he's an international student here) but I'm afraid I won't be allowed in. I'd like people with that experience to share it with me and others.

I'm in same situation i would appreciate if you can send me details how to your extend visator visa. like papers to be submitted and reason to be showed to extend the visa.

Before my application got approved, I got a letter from INS requesting a couple of documents like:

1) a document to establish that I have evidence abroad to which I am going to return. Here my parents wrote a letter stating I'm still living with them and had it translated by a sworn translator.

2) photocopies of personal data pages of passport and the visa I last entered the US

3) evidence which establishes that I have secured a residence for the remainder of my stay in the US. Here I sent a photocopy of my Sprint cell phone bill with the address I live at.

4) evedence that my foreign employment is held for me - I asked my employer to asked a letter that he holds a job for me in my home country

5) photocopy of return ticket to home country

The INS also asked me to send a bank account although I didn't send any. Instead my parents wrote a letter stating they are able to sponsor my stay in the USA.

The reasons I used for requesting the extension of my voisa are simple: visiting friends and more of the USA.
Simple but worked.

I gave you enough information but I'm not gonna post my letter to INS on this forum. You're not a child anymore, just think a little bit. Nobody helped me before I sent my letter to INS and I got approved. So you can do it too. Have more faith in yourself.

I just understand your feelings. Take it easy ! can you tell whether you included return ticket in the application. How long you got extension.

Thanks a lot for your info. My parents got 3 months visa planning to extend visa their visa. They have ticket until nov but visa is valid until Aug. I'm asking extension for six months there is present ticket is enough or i need to include extended ticket .. i mean until Feb.

I think your parents should send the original ticket with November return date and a new one, if they have it, with a February one.

This is what I did about the tickets. I came in the USA June 2002 and got 6 mopnths visa at the airport so I should have left the US in December 2002. In November 2002 I filed for extension. Then INS sent me a letter requesting more documents, among them was the proof of return ticket. I had a return ticket dated November 2002 as I was planning to go back home then. Before sending alll the necessary documents to INS I went to the airlines ticket office and change the return date to June 2003. And I sent INS BOTH photocopies of November 2002 and June 2003 return tickets.

How long it is taking ?

Hello Friends:

Please post your experience. How long it is taking nowadays to process the extension application ?

I applied for my mom's extension for six months in second week of May. When I should expect the response ?

Also, I send the tentative itinerary (since the ticket was not confirmed) ? now I am thinking of change the return date and get the confirmed ticket. IN case I get a RFE for a ticket...I will send the confirmed ticket copy. Please post your comments.
