What if I485 expires while application is still pending?

I plan to file concurrent I-130 and I-485 for marriage based green card (US citizen spouse). The current I485 expires in 10/31/2020. Will USCIS reject my case when they process I485? What should I do?

The expiration date is for internal uses only and doesn't concern you. What matters is the edition date, on the lower-left corner of each page. You have to make sure you are using an edition of the form that is still accepted at the time you file (the form's webpage on the USCIS website indicates which editions are currently accepted). As long as you file an edition that is accepted at the time you file, you don't have to worry about future changes to the form.

If you have filed Form I-485, Application to Adjust Status, you generally are not confined by the restrictions on your nonimmigrant visa. You have the right to remain in the United States while the application is pending.
