Hi guys!
I am planning to take a vacation to India using my Advance Parole. Since i do not have any vacation time, I plan to take unpaid vacation. Would this be taken as a break in employment in case of an RFE as i will not have a pay check for a month.

Thanks guys

Also

Does using AP to travel pose any problems. Will this be reason enough to transfer my case to the local Boston office.
thanks again

Always it is better to take a letter from the employer stating that you have employed at xxx corp. as abc ... titled "To whom it may concern" when you are moving through POEs.

Given that and if you are able to get a letter verifying your employment with the company, I don't see any reason as to why that gap in pay stubs would automatically be taken as a break in employment!

It is similar to falling ill and not having vacation time (not falling ill long enough for disability to kick-in). Such a situation would show gap in paystubs as well! I don't think that would be construed as break in employment.

However, if you are the sort who doesn't want to muddy the water in any manner, then AG's suggestion would be seconded by me.

Thanks Guys!

This is posing to be in interesting problem.
I wonder if there are any vetran members who had to do the same, that is take unpaid vacation while during Adjustment of status phase.

If any one has come across the same situation did this pose any problems.

I know i can get a letter from my employer stating continuos employent.

more input is always welcome.
thanks
