What if I-485 is approved when travelling abroad on AP?

I plan to travel abroad and return to the US on Feb 1 on a valid AP.

How would a possible 1-485 approval in my absence, impact my ability to return on AP?
If my I-485 is already approved, I can't enter the US as a parolee, can I?

Confused, please enlighten.

Case Details:
- Derivative Applicant (EB-2, retrogressed country)
- PD: September 2000. Current according to Jan visa bulletin.
- RD: May 2004. (NSC is processing April 2004, my question assumes that the NSC processing date might advance to May next month)

Thanks.

The only option is entering using AP.. So make sure before you leave USA you have a approved AP..

You can't enter using valid H/L visa....Once 485 is approved same day all non-immigration visa's are invalid..

It won't affect you when you enter on AP after 485 approval
(That's kinda the purpose of AP really).

You may be given a deferred inspection (may not be anymore as biometrics and card ordering are automatic these days).

No issues to worry about -- just have a party if your 485 gets approved :D
