I will go to US on an F-1 visa (for my PhD). Just now I came to know that at the airport my fingerprint will be cross checked with the fingerprint collected at the consulate. During the visa application, I had a small cut at the side of a finger, though I am not sure whether the cut affected my fingerprint. I am now worried what will happen if at the port of entry the fingerprint does not match due to the fact that the cut affected my fingerprint at the consulate.
