I have got NIW I-140 approved in this April. In May I called USCIS for my I-485 case. In this June they sent me a letter saying they were busy and would answer me at the end of August.
I moved from CA to central area. I was wondering if I need to change my case to Nebraska center, but my lawyer suggested waiting for reply. But recently I got a letter from CA center, this mail has been backed to them due to my address change. So, they know my move now. What did the mail say? Very interesting:
"The following is provided in response to your inquiry sent to the California Service Center:
Your cases Form I-485 application/petition have been selected for extensive review and undergoing system checks. You will be notified by mail once a decision has been made on your cases.
NOTE: the district offices are no longer seeing customers unless they have an appointment.Plase visit our website at http:www.Infopass.USCIS.gov to make an appointment with the district office."
So, do I need to wait for it till they make decision? Or do I need to inform them changing my case to Nebraska? I am confused. Actually I have to extend my EAD next year. Please give me some suggestions. Tons of thanks!!!
