Guys,

This is getting crazy.

Now there are trackers to keep track of
when the I485 application was just *received*
by the INS.

Can you believe it, we are waiting to
begin waiting for the processing of our
cases.

You have to just laugh at it to keep sane :)

BTW, CSC I485 post date 04/25 no receipts after
10 weeks :-(

My application was mailed on 4/13/2001 and no receipts yet. Looks like check is not cleared yet.

Please guys "calm down". It is not that bad after all. I know first hand that it is worse in other countries. The processing is even slower. Not to mention the countries where they do not want/accept immigrants unless you are already filty rich like Switzerland.
Or worse : countries where nobody wants to go at all for lack of opportunities.

Just be "p a t i e n t". That\'s all.Unlike other places, this is the land of opportunities.
You time will come, between 4 and 7 years after entering the country on your first H1-B.

INS - there is nothing like be patient. What is right is right and what is wrong is wrong.. dont try to be a fool by comforting yourself by doing comparisions. I am a immigrant, Yes that is right but I work harder than most of the natives in this country and I have contributed to its growth. Finally, you should not forget that America is a land of Immigrants. If I have a inconvenience I have every right to complain about it and I will.

I was trying to point out the irony of the
situation (trackers to track how long before
one tracks how long they wait :) which I found
amusing.

I think we need to laugh at these situations,
otherwise we\'ll get driven crazy.
