what happens when wife's I-824 gets processed before my I-485 ?

Does anybody know what will happen if my wife files I-824 (follow to join ) to go for CP, and her I-824 gets processed before my I-485, which has been pending for 9 mths in TSC ?

Do we have to "time" it so that it gets processed after my I-485 gets approved ?
