What happens when RIR is denied?

Hi,
What happens when the RIR case is rejected? Would there be an option to contuniue the case under non RIR? Also, what happens to the priority date? Would the filing date stays as the old one?

Thanks

Yes.. if RIR gets denied, DOL sends the case back to SESA for processing as regular (non RIR) case with the original priority date.

Just a little correction to gp111's post:

There are two scenarios:

1. Case is rejected - File it later.

2. Case is remanded(DOL does not thinks it is good for RIR) - Read gp111's post.

Thanks guys. What are the cases when RIR is rejected outright? Is it improper documentation or any other reasons? Thanks in advance.
