I guess I am still kinda confused with the retrogression information flying around. I would appreciate someone's knowledgeable opinion ... very much! Now that the EB3 priority date cutoff for my country is March 1, 2001 ... no one can file I-485 applications with dates later than that. What exactly will happen to the many cases that were filed long ago already - and have been pending for various reasons ... and priority dates later than 03/01/01?
As an example, my priority date is 07/01/01 ... and my I-485 has been pending since May 2003. It has already been dragging for a while - got more delayed for two stupid RFEs. Then came the 'visa number' issue - and now this. Is this going back to the waiting loop again?
Does the retrogression mean that 'no visa number' for people with PD later than 03/01/01 ... no matter whether they filed I-485 or not? Those who did not file yet - wait ... and those who did - wait as well
