Dear All,

My employer is NJ based and he has an office in Phily, PA also. So he file my labor from Phily, PA. My state labor has cleared and Federal labor date is July 2003. Till now my project (I am a consultant) was in NY state and some time in CT state. I am now moving to a different project and this is in Indiana, but my employer is still the same in NJ.
Do I get affected by thjis move as regards my applying for the next 2 stages I-140 and I-485? I mean my labor was for the Eastern region but now I will be moving to a different region (work wise) but I will have an address in NY as my contact address. Pl. advise if I would need to re-apply labor in this case.

Thanks for your expert help on this.

Some one please respond, this might look a very routine question for you experienced people, but this is very important for me. My decision to take up the new job rests on this.

Thanks

No I-140 and I-485 are applied where employer is located. For many computer professionals this is common. You need not worry.
I know many people have done this. I feel there is no problem absolutely. You need not have to have address in NY.
