What happens to 485 if AC21 company is in different service center..

I am planning to use AC21 in near future..My 485 is still pending at VSC with RD of Nov 2004(140 approved,EB2 with PD 05/2002)..


I am looking for guidance from experts on this forum on best way to handle following scenario:

(a)I am not happy with present company and I am about to change job either before or after my 485 approval.my 140 is approved.

(b)I am about to complete 180 days of 485 pending...I completed my FP and I receieved status change message "FP rcvd/Case Resumed"..

(c)If I am luck my 485 can get approved within couple of months....If I change job immidiately afte 485 approval(within month or so) I can get into trouble when I apply for citizenship.This is one of the driving factor to use AC21 just before my approval(ofcourse I cannot time my approval!!)

(d)If I use AC21 and my company falls under different service center how my 485 processing is going to get affected..Does 485 gets transfered to new sevrice center??If so how much delay this can cause?

I am in exact same situation. I know there is no problem changin the job before I485 gets approved. But let me know if you get some answers for your question regarding the Service Center change?? I am talking to my attorney, let me see what he says...i will update that information here.

Same Situation

I was in a same situation before. I transferred to a different state that belongs to a different service center. Our I-485 was transferred to the local office where I reside and we had our interview there and was approved.

but note that I transferred job after I-140 approved and more than 180 days I-485 pending.

Change the company do not worry about service center. Usually I-485 will remain in the same service center where you applied. Even I personally I moved to different service center areas.

Hi,
I am thinking of changing job and fall under the same situation like many of the members here. Can you share your experience of the case transfer details, like how many days it took for the interview and how many days after that for approval?
Please see my signature for details, the case is very clsoe to approval, but nobody knows, later cases after May 2004 are getting approved, mine is still pending.
