What happens if my employer cannot take me back?

Please help.
I am not currently with my original employer, due to layoffs that happened last year and the real estate market downfall.
My employer might not be able to take me back if my AOS gets approved before 180 days (It might happen cause I had a lot of LUD's lately, but who knows?)
What if my AOS is approved in less than 180 days and my employer cannot take me back?
Thanks in advance :o

Are you working now? if yes, send the current employer letter stating that, from this day onwards we are supporting his I-485.. you will be fine..

forgot to mention, the letter should be match 50% of your skill set and job duties with your original requirements...

All the best...

Proactively sending that letter to USCIS before 180 days could cause more problems than it solves.

Nobody knows when the approval will happen. Cross that bridge when you get there.
