What happens if I leave?

I have EB3 I485 in pipeline, with PD Aug 2002.
Due to some family problems, I am planning to quit job, and go back to my home country, (Malaysia)
does this close my green card process or will it continue in my absence?

Yes. I485 will be gone unless you change to CP processing.
