What happens if I-140 amended ?

You are not applying new one, correcting

so one application with update information remains ..Only luck is that date won't change to the amended date.

Let me share my experience here.

I filed my original I-140 on 28th September 2002 with VSC. I filed with CP as a follow-up route.

My Lawyer mistakingly put Chennai, India as a consulor post in my application.

We noticed this mistake in January. I asked my attorney to amend the original I-140 Petition and make the consulor post to Mumbai, India.

When my case was approved on 26th June 2003, BCIS did not change my Notice Date and the Consulor Post got amended to Mumbai India.
