1.How does it last ? (10 minutes?)

2. Do we get to see the status on the monitor/ Do they answer all our questions?

3. Is it a private room ? - or - line a cinema theatre line -
someone over hearing our conversation?

4. The appt says to bring 3 photos - Is it needed/manadatory?

5. Can we request like a Service inquiry?

6. My appt is at 9:00 AM this week - Can i see the IO at 9:00 (OR)
is it the time to enter and then wait in line for 2 hours before
seeing a IO.

(I am seeing a IO, to know if something is going to change in the next
2 months, i could change my employer and file AC-21. No point in sticking
to the same employer.)

GCWHEN1:

A lot probably depends on where your Infopass appointment is conducted. I can tell you about my experiences in the Manchester ASC (New Hampshire).

1. Typically less than 10 mins. The first one was about 5 mins, the second one was a bit more because I kept trying to get the IO to look up any info she could.

2. The IO just told me what the IO wanted to (or didn't want to). I didn't get to see anything on the IO's monitor.

3. Just one person at the window at a time. The Infopass appointment letter goes into a box at the window, and the IO calls each applicant to the window. I doubt anyone else is able to hear your conversation.

4. I didn't see any requirement to bring photos in my appointment confirmation letter. Only a requirement to bring a photo-ID, typically the passport.

5. In my case, no. However, I believe others here have had experiences where the IO initiated an enquiry of some sorts.

6. Zero wait time for me. Kinda makes sense: the appointment slots are in 15-min intervals, and both my appointments took less than 10 mins.

1. Depends on the questions you have
2. They won't let you see the monitor, they will answer all the questions but most of them will be useless like 'we can't answer that, we can't confirm that, etc'
3. It's a private conversation; others may not over hear
4.Not sure why they ask you to bring 3 photos. In my case they did not ask
5. Not able to understand your question. IO will give you why your case is being delayed or what is the current status. He/She normally gives a written statement to that effect
6. Usually the appointment is punctual. so be on time.
