So after a long wait of dozens of emails and running around like crazy I finally had a successful interview! Right now I have planned on going over to the US to activate my long waited green card first week of July! I plan to fly out to Detroit MI, which will be my point of entry I assume.

What will I be expected to do once I arrive there at the airport? Bit confused on what I would need to do at the POE or what I would need to do... Some advice would be very nice. :D

are u staying in detroit?
if yes, pls reconcider it, this place is a shit hole full with poverty & murders, violent crime ect...
if it's just your poe, then it's ok.
the embassy should have or will give u an enveloppe that you will give to the agent at your poe... that enveloppe should not be open & everything the agent need will be in there.
for the rest, i do not know but u might hear "welcome to the united state", your new home

Well yes it is my poe, however I have some family who live there and I quite like Detroit, I think some parts of the city are very beautiful and fun! Crime happens everywhere and you just have to think realisticly and be brave about it, you can either visit first and make a judgement then or assume and believe everything you hear on TV! I'm moving after a few weeks though from Detroit up to north Michigan to permanently stay in another city where more family members live. Always have loved Michigan, definitely one my favorite states, if not my favorite state no doubt!

Frenchjap, tu cause français?
Bref, it's true that the media like to make a small thing look like a mass murder.
me, IF i win again on july 15, i will just visit the country to see where i suit most

NYC is too expensive for me and I didn't really enjoy the culture there, well it was nice for holiday though but to live there, people were very rude and ignorant there so not for me. I guess if you're from a black or African background then NYC will be the right place. I like Montreal though, always been home to me and I'm going to be keeping my Canadian passport. Never plan to get US citizen, just the green card :D

Yes I'm black.
I do not plan to settle in NYC for a long term, it is just for the begining to get my stuff together... I plan to move either to the south or California.... sun sun sun
