I wonder what happens after failed marriage interview? It appears to me that some people get another interview later (do they have to file all the paperwork again?), while others face deportation. How come?

I've been overstaying my visa for a little while, filing on the basis of marriage to US citizen, probably will have interview in the next 6 months... If somehow I fail, would they say that I'm out of status and deport me?

How are you thinking that way if you haven't even get to the interview....

There is a long way to go meanwhile worry about getting your paperwork together such as

1-Join bank accounts
2-Join Taxes returns.
3- Lease agrements.
4-Car title in both names
5-Car insurance in both names.
6-Life insurance in both names.
7-Affidavits of support
8-Pictures
9-Junk Mail.

10-------- Get ready to the interview with some of the common questions asked on this kind of interviews.---------------

Most with real marriages will pass the first interview.

Most who fail the first interview will get a second interview.

Of the very few who get denied straight away from the first interview, it is because they had obvious fraud.
