What happened to people filed in 10/06? Anyone? Seems all apps are from older days!

Looks like you are upset that you have not seen the approval yet. Bear in mind that there are folks out there who have their PD in 2001, 2003 and I485 from 03, 04 waiting for the past 5 years.
They deserve the approval and we are not happy to see you complaining that the older guys are getting approved first. It is the correct thing for USCIS to do and the legitimate thing to do.

You said it right. I wish Mr. dwz1234 gets his green card soon, but the processing should be based on FIFO criterion.
I hope old filers like me don't have to wait too loooooong before another retrogression kicks in during August or what ever month in the near future...

I guess, 2006 filers shouldn't even expect the approval until all older PDs, RDs are cleared.

I don't think they are approving based on the PD.If they are approving based on the PD ,should have got my approval longback.They are approving based on the RD.Rightnow they are working on 2004 and 2005 cases.We will hear good news soon.We are almost there.

I am not complaining. I think everyone should get one.
Unlike most people who got stuck in USCIS due to visa availability, I filed EB2 in June 2003 and was stuck in Labor backlog for three years. When I got "released" last yr, I filed the 485 promptly and EB2 has always been current.
Now that my app appears to be stuck in NSC for Name Check for the past 8 months, with the flooding of the processing of 02, 03, 04 cases and the potential cases in July (200K to 300K at least?), I will be stuck again for XX yrs?
This is not fair, dont you think???

It's not about fairness. It's strictly about the people who are in the queueu ahead of you. You said you had filed your LC in 06/03. Many of the folks here had filed including me filed our LCs in 01,02 and we filed our I-485s in 2003, 2004.
It's unfortunate that your LC has took so long but we had filed our I485s 3 -4 years ago and has been waiting since then. NSC is processing cases based on I485 RD. NSC does not always process cases based on FIFO but atleast we guys should maintain and respect our friends who are in line ahead of us and hope that they should get first.
You can be upset about your case but should not be upset that people in 03, 04 are getting approvals before you. That remark of yours does not give a good impression.

Just be patient. As I check the status from www.trackitt.com and other forums, NSC is approving some case with our situations. Please make sure you NC is cleared first. As I called NSC week back, the lady checked my case and said my case should not be the curreent zone and she will help me move it to another zone. I am not sure what that means. But she confirmed if should only call back after 30 days. I am not really serious about what NSC told us because you never know what they are doing. As I watched the case for the passed few days, there are a lot of case later then me got approval, so I think my day may not be too far(in a year?)

Bottomline - most 2006 filers are stuck in namecheck blackhole; fair or unfair. Don't expect to see approvals anytime soon. No point talking to USCIS. Instead talk to your senator to do something about the security delays. That is where the real bottleneck is. And don't believe USCIS serivce reps when they say namecheck cleared - they often give out incorrect information.

I spoke to IO few minutes ago. Told me that my NC is clear. I asked about NC twice, and she said it is clear but as my RD is 03/2007 I should wait for about 6 months as they are processing 09/2006 cases right now.
Well, I called only to see if I am in NC mess, but I guess I am not. Check my signature for case details.
