What happened???? on premium processing but no news after 12 days!!!!

Hi,

I got hopes from this site from everyone's experiences and information....thanks!!!! But still I am so worried and getting impatient about a filing receipt yet to be issued by VSC on my case, a new H1B petition, and it has been 11 days after delivery by FEDEX (tracking reveals documents are with VSC on Aug 1).

Anyone who had same experience? Maybe the good great guru has information why this happens. Anyone else who has explanations for this? I would really appreciate if you could share insights here.
 
Have you tried calling USCIS? Maybe if you kindly explain your situation they may be able to connect you with someone from the mail room, or at least put down your FedEx tracking number and call someone themselves. It's just a thought...
 
Another idea is to go to your Congressman, and explain your situation. They usually then email USCIS, and USCIS may pay a closer attention to your mail. I did something like that with my OPT, and it worked...
 
Thanks, guys! I will ask the immigration lawyer to call to check about it. We are hoping that even without the receipt number we will receive approval/non-approval or a query soon. Is this possible? Are there cases wherein decisions are made without the issuance of the filing number? I am thinking my case is not very rare. I would still like to hear from those who had same experience in the past.

Maybe asking the congressman's help is another option too. Thanks to both of you!!! :cool:
 
Kayzeeturk, thanks again. Yes, u r completely right but i can be included in the 2006 H1B quota. Is that correct?

How I really wish I will get news from VSC soon. This waiting is killing me....he he he!!!! ;)

I hope I can also hear from those with similar experience or from those who have thoughts to share too. I do appreciate it so much!!!!
 
Hate to be the bearer of the bad news, but unless USCIS already assigned you a number, you may be out of the quota...
