pls help

any one please help in answering how to establish residency in Canada and why it takes 6 months as said in previous messages in this forum

establishing recidency is ..

staying there for ever ! but I have been told by my company\'s
lawyer that if I apply for RRP and I have not been in canada for
like 2-3 years, and unless I have family that is staying back there
and have a house etc. ...applyong for RRP just puts you in
the Canadaian Immgration\'s radar screen. and should they reject it
the next time you enter canada you can be flagged by the computer.

your recommendation?? Not to apply RRP?

tt ,

so would you suggest me not to apply RRP? I am afraid I\'ll be able to prove my ties with Canada or not. And I am out of Canada for more than 183 days now...

Some say apply for RRP makes you easy to screen

But I called the Canadian consulate and was told I should apply for RRP and when the new act take effect I can stay years outside canada. So I suggest you apply because the screening will start years later.

taxes

Yes everyone has to file tax in Canada just like USA. But I have a fear going to Canada that officer can make trouble at Canadian border though I have intention to go to Canada after making some money from USA on H1.

that cannot help.

however if you show proof of residence , taxes, drivers lic,
bank acc, health card, job , family in canada, then you maysafely
apply for RRP. but check the post by rana1982 on this discussion
and you may see that the RRP was refused.

RRP , if working on H1 with a Canadian Based Company

If I work for a company that has head quarter in Canada, will i be able to get RRP?? . But I am recruited by company\'s office in USA.
