I would like to know the following.

When I file N400 to a service center. I imagiine the following things happening sooner or later. Please add/delete and correct me where necessary. TIA

SVC center sends acknowledgement (gives a PD?)
Calls you later for a Finger printing appt.
Sends FPs to FBI
(We call FBI or) wait till FBI Clears FPs
SVC center sends the entire thing to local office (say Chicago in case of NSC).
Chicago office sets up an interview (depending on people waiting in line etc, this can take a bit of time)
Interview at Chicago
Completes interview, you may be recommended for c/ship.
LOCAL office calls you for an oath ceremony
You get the certificate
You may apply for a passport
You may win a powerball and start touring all countries that do not require visa for a US Citizen :)

Any more things? Please enlighten me (so that I can become a realized soul and enlighten others!) :-)

TIA again.

First, they cash your check. You say goodbye to that money.
Next you receive a receipt.

Do they actually process your application in some way, like checking accuracy, whether correct documents enclosed etc before they send you a receipt? Or, do they wait until after FBI processes your finger-prints?

Oops, that was wrong!

It should have been:
