Hi Guys,

Our Senator's office made an inquiry to Immigration Service (NSC) on my pending I-485. In the response FAX, NSC says:

"Service records indicate that On September 28, 2005, the application referenced above were receipted at NSC. Our records also indicate that on August 13, 2006 the applications were assigned to an officier for revirew, please allow a minimum of 30 days for officer review."

What does this mean? Is this a very common response? Does it imply that my name check already finish? Any comments are appreciated!!!!

It means case is adjudicated

The same happened to me. Actually, after receiving our applications they can rot away on a desk until assigned to an officer. Once the officer recieves the assignment and he picks up our application it might take weeks before its fate is decided. In my case it took two weeks after senator's query.

Good Luck
