Does this means that people who did the Finger Print recently will get approved soon? Your opinions, Thanks....

---------------------------------------------------
Chat User : Great service! I filed I-485 at the Texas Service Center in September 2002 but haven't received the notice for fingerprinting yet. Is this normal?

Attorney Murthy : Yes, it is normal since the USCIS does not want to issue FP notices only to have the person go back a few times until the I-485 is ready to be reviewed. The policy now is to wait until the person's I-485 is ready to be reviewed and adjudicated and then to require the person to go in for the FPs. Since the processing time is about 2 years for the I-485 at TSC, you should be hearing from the USCIS in the near future.

Probably. But nobody knows how USCIS works exactly.
I think this comment is more related to current and future applicants. And it does not apply for backlog applicants. What happens is that in past when one applies for I-495, within 2-5 months after RD, USCIS used to ask for FP. Then the I-485 application was standing in backlog without any possibility of review or approval in next few months/years. We all know, the result of that. FP expires and go for 2nd FP again.
I think now USCIS decided that in future they will ask for FP only when they are about to review or reviewing the case. Basically if you are waiting in backlog, you will skip your 1st FP (they will not ask for it). Your 2nd FP will be your first and only FP.

My I485 RD was 9/2003, and I just did the FP in this month in NSC. Is this my 1st or last FP? Am I in the backlog? (my I140 has been approved in April) Thanks!

Hopefully it's your first FP and hopefully last.

It means that if you did your FP recently, you case will most probably approved in the next 15 months (when FP expires). soon is a relative term in CIS calendar.

As per the messages posted in different threads, the case will be reviewed (RFE or Approval) within 2 months of 2nd FP.

This is my according to my observation(may be wrong)

We can not predict anything...

I have filed I-485 in May'03..
and so far not received any FP Notice...
Don't know what are they up to ????????
