What does this mean?

Hey gang:

Two of my friends applied for Legal Permanent Residency; however their approval notices are totally different.

The first says:

We mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

The other notice says:

we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS.

What's the difference between these two notices?

They both are approved but one's GC has been ordered to be produced whereas the 2nd one will get another email with "Card Production ordered".


I got the first one and got my gc within a week but never got my approval letter. My realatives got an approval letter than the GC after 2 weeks or so.
