What does this mean?

Hi,
Could someone let me know what this means?

I received the following email from USCIS yesterday for my AP renewal that was applied with a RD of 9/29/04.

"On November 8, 2004, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued"

Sounds like an approval but not sure as the message for approvals will be different (like on so and so date, your case was approved and if 14 days have passed blah blah blah...).

Does anyone had similar message and got approval notice?

Could someone help decipher this?

Another question, since the AP was applied by the attorney I am guessing the approvals will go to him. If so, do I get a copy of those approvals?

Yeah -- this is the standard message for AP approval :)

Since you applied using an attorney, all the original AP docs will go to them.
You won't get anything - no copies nothing.

Your attorney would typically contact you - or you can contact them after about a week.

Thank you max2k1 for your time and inputs.

I was little worried with the message I got yesterday as my first AP's approval email came with a different message (on so and so date, your case was approved and if 14 days have passed blah blah blah...). Wondering.. if this is their standard message for AP ONLY (these days) (as for EAD approvals that I got two weeks ago the message was like the one I mentioned in paranethesis)

Did you have similar message if you have gotten your AP?

I don't think so.

I also had this type of message on USCIS web site for my AP case status, and my AP was also filed by an attorney. But USCIS mailed the original AP documents(2 copies) to me directly; and a courtesy copy to my attorney.

Mine is CSC and this happened in May'04. Not sure whether the trend has changed now or not.

Yeah -- same for my AP ... also same for friends.

gc369:
Funny that you got the AP directly ... APs for all of those that I know (who used a lawyer) - has always gone to the attorney.

Am not sure why this happened to you -- must be something unique ... maybe attorney forgot to attach a G-28 ??

Its better to check with your attorney - he should get it

AFAIK, EADs come to the person directly and AP goes to the attorney on file

gc369 and max2k1,
Thanks to both of you for your valuable inputs.

I talked to my attorney this afternoon and you both seemed correct, from the conversation that I had with him, about who gets the approval

He said sometimes USCIS sends approval directly to the beneficiary but in general, attorney who filed gets it.

Got my AP last week.
Question is: my current AP expires on 1/23/05 but the new AP they approved has a validity period from 11/3/04 to 11/3/05. Is this normal (because they approved it in November '04) or a discrepancy (because the actual renewal period should start from Jan '05)?

Please post if you have similar experiences
Appreciate your help in advance
