what does stopping/delaying pp stamping mean??

If one is permanenet resident the moment 485 is approved- and GC is the real physical evidencee of that- then pp stamping is the procedure where INS collects pictures and index finger print for the card.

then what does stopping PP stamping mean? stopping just a travel permit? or am i missing something here??
 
Better if AILA takes up these with INS at the earliest...

Good question. This opens up whole lot of other issues:
1. What happens to those cases whose H1\'s are still valid? Can they travel?
2. What if the applicant is already out on vacation, and receives his approval by mail in his country (A truly hypothetical situation)? Do they (INS) allow this person to enter into the country by stamping his PP with GC, as they have been doing for CP candidates?
3. BTW, what happens to the CP candidates?

I think it is too early to get legitimate answers to these.
