I am just trying to understand what RFE means to our case? Does it mean that we are about to get GC or is it just that it is part of process and need to wait till PD becomes current?

Just confused with the fact that why they would look into our case when PD is not current...

No..I mean RFE..(Request for Evidence)

"Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

On November XX, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response unless fingerprint processing or an interview are standard parts of case processing and have not yet been completed, in which case you can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. This case is at our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."

It will be 60 days since they received the response to RFE. Do you think I can expect any movement on the case??

In most cases - 90% of the time - RFE means the I-485 has been pre-adjudicated and in final stages...and they are just trying to close the file by clarifying one scenario and should close in 2 weeks or less - if RFE is responded....

If your PD is not current - it really does not mean much.....
If PD is current - there is a good chance that approval may come in 2 weeks or more....
