What does Reviewing Officer at TSC do?

Guys,
I talked to TSC about a month ago using POJ's trick and talked to one nice lady who told me that my finger printing (FP) results had come and my name check(NC) was done too. She told me that my case was with the Reviewing Officer and that I should expect an approval within the next 2 weeks.

After waiting a month, today I called TSC again, and talked to a gentleman. He gave me the same information and told me that FP and NC were done and the Reviewing Officer was sitting on my case. He gave me a time of 1-week before approval this time.

POJ, Saras, anyone else,
Do you know what this freakin' Reviewing Officer does? Why would he be sitting on my case. What is he doing that's causing the delay. How does this process work.

I need to get my GC so I can apply for FAFSA. I just started school back again.

I would appreciate everyone's help with this.

Regards,
-KJ

that we all wants to know, why they love our file so much that they don't want to part with.It seems the file has some fragrence of good old dust and that is so good ,they are not familier.Hence they keep our/ur/saras file.

KJ: can you tell me POJ's trick? Thanks

1) Call the 800 number on your reciept
2) Select 1 for English
3) Select 2
4) Select 6
5) Select 1
6) Punch in your SRC number
7) Select 1
8) Select 3 It'll ask you if your case has been separated.
9) Select 4 and wait for someone to talk to you.

Hope this helps.

My case is with an examiner as well ...

Guys and Gals,

After numerous AILA inquiries my lawyer heard back that my case has been handed over to an "Examiner". After I heard this news the LUD on my 485 that had not changed since the erroneous TRX to a wrong local office changed to "On August 2nd 2005 we have received your case for porcessing. Blah Blah Blah ...."

I guess the examiner is looking into how the TSC has made a complete mockery of my case. What he does from here on is a mystery ..

regards,

saras

Saras ,I am hoping u will get approval email on 1st Oct

Once some one is looking into ur case, only thing he can do is approval. He can not undo the past but atleast approve now. There is no reason that he will not approve now.

Thats my hope

victim_of_INS,

I am hoping for the same thing. Maybe in October this misery will be over. However I am not pinning all my hopes on this because the dissappointment will be very great if nothing happens in Ocotber.

I believe this is the best I can share,

An immigration information officer initially reviews the applications to determine if all of the documents are available. If there is insufficient documentation, with the realization that a Request for Evidence (RFE) will be issued and the case will not be processed within 90 days.

-------------------

It seems the Adjucant is done in two officer involment, one Review Officer who put all this together and assemble ur appl ready for Adjucant, it may involve for collecting all FP-resule, Namecheck result,bckg-result,other agencies report about u/ur case. all doc.

Adjucant Officer is the authorized person and adv training to make decission based on doc/evd and by looking what is in petition and using their formula(485 std procedure) with your case, Adjucant Officer is the person who actualy put "APVD" stamp on ur case allocting the V-No and closing the case.

Remember its my understanding and its not necessary other should agreed with.

Good Luck

6 months after my case got transferred I got my interview. My letter showed up about 2 weeks before the interview at my previous lawyers old office. My previous lawyer had moved over a year before this. I never got the letter in the mail. It probably went to my old address. I moved over 2 years before the letter was sent.

My lawyer reviewed all his cases and told me the time frame between transfer to Miami and the interview within the last year, and it ranged between 4 months and 12 months. Of all the cases he went through, the average seemed to be about 8 months of waiting.

Thanks for your info !!!
