What does it mean, case has assigned to examiner/Officer

Hi there,

Today at infopass I have been told that my name check has been cleared and my case was assigned to examiner/officer on June 29th for review.

What does that mean ?

Should I start counting the days for my approval?Or it's pretty normal and hundread of thousands are in the same boat...

Even i am in the same boat, since your case has been assigned to an officer...I think you should hear something positive in next 2 weeks..
 
As per what I know, my case is with an officer since June 4th, and yes ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has happened to my case since then. The IO has been sitting [ shitting ???] on my case for the last one month.

I know a couple of people in this forum whose case was waiting in the queue when my one was assigned, and they have already got their green cards. So, I wouldn't give much wait on the "assigned to an officer" crap.

But then, I am a really unlucky soul, may be yours one would be quick.
